GBEB International Diploma Programmes

The GBEB Level 3 qualification is a comprehensive programme designed for learners aged 16 to 19 who are ready to take the important step from secondary education to higher academic study or advanced professional training. Pathways at Level 3

One of the strongest features of GBEB Level 3 is its flexibility of choice. Recognising that learners have different aspirations, strengths, and learning preferences, the framework offers three distinct but equally respected pathways.

GBEB International Diploma (Academic Route)

This is the academic pathway and is considered the equivalent of A-Levels or the IB Diploma. It is designed for learners who wish to pursue university study in the UK or abroad.
Subjects are studied across six groups, allowing breadth as well as depth:

  • Languages & Literature
  • Language Acquisition
  • Individuals & Societies (social sciences, business, economics, psychology, etc.)
  • Sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science)
  • Mathematics
  • Arts & Creativity (visual arts, music, drama, design)

Core requirements include:

  • An Extended Research Project (ERP), which develops independent research and academic writing skills.
  • A Global Citizenship & Ethics module, nurturing awareness of sustainability, diversity, and international responsibility.
  • Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS-style engagement), ensuring students are involved in cultural, physical, and social projects.

GBEB International Diploma (Academic Route)

This route is equivalent to T-Levels or BTEC Diplomas, focusing on practical skills alongside theoretical study. It is ideal for learners who want a career-focused qualification that still allows progression into higher education.
